Fort Ottoman Mahdia or Borj el Kebir

More original than the Grand Mosque, its minimalist interior, and no minaret make it more like a fortress than a religious building.

The imposing tower of the tenth century was the guard tower of the Fatimids. Today, every Friday, she looks unfold the traditional female market silks and jewels. Embroiderers of the city or the backcountry present their shimmering works. Thick velvet, golden son, pearls, everything to the refinement of the costume.
